Even if you are a licensed or certified notary, your work can still be rejected if you do not perform your duties properly, and one of the most important duties that you have is using your notary seal embosser and stamp correctly.
The stamp should be clear, crisp, and easy to read. If you leave the stamp on the paper too long there will be too much ink on it and it will become thick and blurry. This is not acceptable and can cause a problem with the document. You should stamp documents only on a firm, flat surface and keep the stamp clean so that it will produce a good, clear image each and every time. You can clean your stamp with tape, which will pull off dust, dirt, and debris that you’ll want to get rid of. The stamp will retain its usefulness for a longer period of time that way.
A notary seal embosser and stamp should also be protected when not in use. These things can be heat sensitive and can become damaged from rough handling, too. If you want to keep them looking good you’ll need to treat them with care and use them properly.
